The key to losing weight and getting fit is eating right. However, eating clean and healthy is not the easiest thing to do for a long period of time. Simply, by changing the ingredients in your foods, you can still make food taste great while saving calories and fat. Here is the easiest method to make BLT healthy and tasty that has less calories and fast than the regular one.
Trader Joes has created a food market that generally has lots of healthier options to create healthier meals. For example, in this video we swapped:
- bacon with turkey bacon
- white bread with a brown rice wrap
- mayo with Trader Joes Cowboy Cavier (spicy and sweet mix of black beans, corn and salsa)
So, to get back to my point. Putting the right brands in your kitchen can help you stick to a healthier diet. If you love a Blt that’s got a little spice without all the guilt, I think you’ll love this sandwich.
What you’ll need:
All from Trader Joes
- Brown Rice Wrap
- 2-4 slices Trader Joe’s Turkey Bacon
- 1-2 tbsp. Cowboy Caviar (corn, black bean & Pepper) Salsa
- 2-3 Organic Tomato
- Handful Organic Field Greens
Grill the turkey bacon both sides. Grill one side of the tortilla 3-4 minutes on high without oil or butter. Place the turkey bacon and greens on one side and the Cowboy Caviar and tomatoes on the other side. Fold and cut.
Serve with fresh fruit (cut up green apple and blueberries).
